I am a passionate and experienced certified privacy professional. I have been a privacy officer for two multinationals, and have a law degree and IT skills, with extensive practical international experience. I help organizations to understand how to build and manage privacy programs (such as: policy development and procedures/standards; implementing PIA/PbD programs; vendor privacy management; breach management and response; addressing notice, consent and data subject rights issues; and contract issues such as data transfer agreements and security/privacy addenda). I have helped organizations meet privacy challenges and obligations via a practical and consultative approach. I have attained numerous privacy professional certifications from the IAPP (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPP/IT, CIPP/C, CIPM, and FIP), and ISACA’s CDPSE designation. I regularly speak, instruct and participate at privacy events internationally. I also teach part-time at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
